We are a language school specializing in Portuguese Language for foreigners. Our students are mostly Expats studying either in our Ipanema location or individualized programs for home, office or on-line. We also offer Student Visa to those who wish to learn Portuguese in Brazil longer than three months.

Although our focus is on speaking, students have to go through all skills of the language during the learning process at Português Carioca: Speaking, listening, grammar, writing and reading. Although there is no lack of Portuguese courses for foreigners in Rio de Janeiro, we are certain that we can offer a UNIQUE approach to learning Portuguese language. We have developed our own methodology and books to be used during the classes. Our methodology is based on automation, meaning that the students automatize the use of lexical items and sentence patterns and structures, especially lexicalized grammar, so that they can then concentrate their effort where it is needed most, in comprehending and communicating clearly..
